MOBILE SYSTEMS

Mobile systems are the most design dependent part of what we do. They combine panels, interconnects, remote patchbays, and other customizable bells and whistles. They are also relatively expensive in labor costs. A point to point patchbay has two ends to prep. When you cut the run into three pieces, the math is simple. We now have six ends to prep, and so the labor becomes times three. To save some money, some systems have snakes that roll into the rack on one side, saving a connection. Rack systems also have a tendency to need a place to park when they get home in the studio. We take care to assure that the end user's needs are covered.

Some of our single rack systems can range from $ 3,000.00 to $ 5,000.00. An average three rack recording system can range between $10,000 to $ 12,000.00. The "rack system of the millenium" goes to Mr. Bruce Springsteen. His system is a dual tower 96 input Euphonix with full dynamics, dual 48 track digital Sony multitracks, fourteeen patchbays, with all additional studio equipment needed to mix, true AES digital patchbay, and of course full video lock. I heard it takes a semi to move it, but it sets up in 20 minutes. All I can say is the wiring cost less than six figures. Bruce won the Grammy award for "Song Of The Year" with his first release done on this system, however I think he only used two tracks.

When you're ready to do your racks, call us.

Your Cargo guys probably already know how to get here.
